He said: “Prosesnya sangat panjang, di week ke‑27 atau ke‑25, kami melakukan diskusi yang cukup intens di internal kami, kami melihat perkembangan Persija saat itu hingga kami memutuskan untuk mulai mendiskusikan mengenai head coach. Pelatih kami saat itu juga sudah memberikan yang terbaik. Tapi, kami mempunyai target yang cukup tinggi, kami mulai untuk mencari pelatih baru untuk musim 2026/2027,”

In a short video released by Persija, Shin appeared wearing a jacket, formally introduced as the club’s new head coach. The footage highlighted his readiness to lead the team.
